Synopsis
A cold front will race eastward across the Gulf of Mexico today...and pass through the Florida Keys tonight. An area of high pressure will build eastward across the southeastern United States Wednesday through through Thursday night. Low pressure will develop over the western Gulf Thursday night...and move quickly eastward on Friday...with another cold front likely passing through the Keys Friday night. The approximate shoreward edge of the Gulf Stream as of February 8th... 29 nm S of Dry Tortugas light...on Loggerhead Key. 24 nm S of Cosgrove Shoal light...off the Marquesas Keys. 32 nm S of Sand Key light...off Key West. 32 nm S of Looe Key...off Big Pine Key. 17 nm S of Sombrero Key light...off Marathon. 17 nm se of Alligator Reef light...off Islamorada. 15 nm se of Molasses Reef light...off Key Largo. 12 nm E of Carysfort Reef light...off Ocean Reef. Northwest to north winds near 20 knots and gusty. Seas beyond the reef 4 to 7 feet...except 6 to 9 feet west of Rebecca Shoal light. Seas inside the reef 2 to 3 feet. Nearshore waters rough.

North winds near 20 knots. Seas beyond the reef 4 to 7 feet...except 6 to 9 feet west of Rebecca Shoal light. Seas higher in the Gulf Stream. Seas inside the reef 2 to 3 feet. Nearshore waters rough.
Thursday
